The month of May for 2015 in Martin County, Florida showed stable single family home prices when compared year-over-year with May of 2014. The median sale price only decreased 1.1%. The biggest take-away from the chart above relates to inventory. Our “Active” listings dropped 23.5%, from 1,420 homes on the market last year to only 1,087 this year! This shortage of inventory, coupled with high demand and low interest rates has caused homes to sell in much shorter periods of time.
As you can see from the charts above, the number of closed sales and the median sale prices of single family homes in Stuart, Palm City, Jensen Beach, Hobe Sound, and Indiantown (collectively Martin County) is trending upwards. Call today if you’re interested in purchasing or selling in our area!
